Anyone have anything to say about what looks like a new publisher?

I am completing a short story anthology call for them and was wondering about them as a small press novel publisher.

They appear to be a "self publishing service" - i.e., a vanity publisher.

I see no "submissions" anywhere on their website, just "Products and services"

The anthology terms seem reasonable, but I don't do shared world on spec (too hard to rework the story if they don't like it, IMO).

Even if they DO take submissions on a more traditional model, I'd still red flag them. Sorry.

Ah, yes. Quite right. That was a big blind spot I had right there. It seems strange that an author would start a vanity publishing group, but I suppose it takes all kinds.

Authors - especially those burned by vanity publishers - seem to start publishing companies with the same regularity they once started used-book stores. I'm not surprised to see this.
