New Writer: "They'll publish my book if it's likely to sell at least a hundred and fifty copies? That doesn't sound like much. I'll buy a hundred and fifty copies and sell them on!"

*a few months later*

New Writer, having guilted fifty family members, friends and workmates into buying an overpriced POD paperback, packs the remaining volumes into a cardboard box and dumps them in the garage.

This month's Toastmaster magazine has an article by someone sharing how he became a published author. Pegasus Books (the shady one) is the publisher.

Sigh and walk away, folks, nothin' to see here. He won't welcome corrections. Makes me a bit more skeptical of Toastmaster...this is usually cheesy unresearched local interest magazine territory.
