Has anyone worked for this company before? They put out study guides for a global scholastic competition or two and hire freelance writers to do it.

I'm working with them now and haven't seen much in the way of copyright protection or contract yet. However, since I'm new to the world of scholastic study guides, I wouldn't know how standard that is. The payscale is promising; the deadlines are tight.

Newbie here, too -- I'm not sure if this goes here or in the Beware files. :e2paperba

I found them pleasant but disorganized, and somewhat bad at answering questions in good time. They want to know whether I want to continue working with them -- in an email which semi-answered one of the two questions I had asked, a week after the asking date, and ignored the other. And I never have received the "agreement" which is not a contract, despite several requests for same.

Haven't worked with them personally, but when I went to the website I wasn't quite sure what I was clicking on. It took me a while to figure out where the links were for submissions.

I have in writing that they mean to pay me. They haven't, and they're mysteriously silent when I email them about it.

Hmm. Yes. It's all very fascinating.

Curious to know, two years later - did they ever pay you?
