It's been three months since my submission. I'm writing this off as a no-response, like my first query to Prospect.
Hi Folks,
I sent a query and three chapters to Becca via the form in October. I received an automated response, so no fear about whether it went through. The website indicates I should resend. Getting ready to do that now. I wish I knew how I'd answered all the questions the first time. I'd like to be consistent.

Thank you for posting this. It's Sugarwrites that has the offer though. I'm still waiting patiently. Knowing you had an offer after a longer wait really was good to hear. I truly hope I get to join you and Sugarwrites at Prospect soonI'm one of Emily Sylvan Kim's authors and have to tell you that she is the best thing to ever happen to me as a writer. Emily is a FABULOUS agent and everything about Prospect Agency is well worth the wait. An agency like Prospect is going to take longer to reply because they are taking the time to carefully read and review the work of every single writer who submits to them. So many agencies will only accept a one-page query letter. The few agencies that actually read something you've written before saying yes or no deserve our praise. Also, Prospect takes incredible care of their authors and illustrators, so we're a bit to blame for delays as well.
Anyway, after reading the exchange between Sugarwrites and Carleree, I wanted to share that not every offer is immediate like Carleree's (congrats to you!) so there is still hope for Sugarwrites. I submitted a full in August 2007 and did not hear back from them with an offer until December 2007. Like I said, it was worth the wait for Emily and worth the deal she got me with Little, Brown & Co./Hachette. No matter what happens, stay strong and believe in yourself and keep fighting for your dreams. Getting a novel published is such a gutt-wrenching journey. But nothing worth having is without struggle. Stay on your chosen path and keep your head held high. Wishing everyone here all the best!
Thank you for this.Oh, sorry for that mix up. Whatever happens, keep fighting, Carleree. No matter what, don't give up on your dreams.
Thanks for the blog posts Chimita. I just submitted a query for my historical fiction to Carrie this evening through the website and got the automated response confirming they received it. They say I should expect to hear from them within three months. Will post back when I receive a response (hopefully before late March).
Happy New Year all!
Bryan
I queried this agency this morning and on the form it said there would be a confirmation within an hour. It's been five hours since then, and no confirmation has made it my way. I'm wondering if I should attempt the form again or move on. It doesn't seem like many people get responses anyway.
