"a hybrid publisher crafting the boutique experience"
I'M SORRY FOR SHOUTING! I CAN'T HEAR YOU OVER THESE CLAXONS GOING OFF IN MY HEAD!
Any outfit advertising themselves as a "hybrid" publisher is going to be hinky at best. It used to mean authors who have releases through a trade publisher and self publish back catalog titles, as well. Now, it's been commandeered to mean a pay-for-play outfit. But checking their FAQ pages reveals this incredibly vague pile of nondescript goobleygook:
We're sure you've seen a predatory vanity press using that term before, and it's probably what led you to our FAQ page, but we can assure you that it simply means we have a different revenue and royalty model than the larger traditional publishing houses. That's it.
The only other question on their FAQ only reiterates their authors do not pay for anything. No further mention of how their royalties are structured or what this revenue model even entails. And no information at all about who's running the place and/or what experience they have in the industry in the "about us" section.
Plot Bunny Publishing was founded with one goal in mind; to tell stories only a select few would ever be brave enough to publish. Within our imprints you'll find debut and seasoned authors side by side who all share one specific quality, the ability to craft vibrant stories rich with diversity and intrigue.
Yeah, well, again, nondescript cheerleading.
And if you click on the little globe icon at the bottom to get to what I'm assuming is the main site (srsly: the link in the OP is simply "plotbunny.co", whereas the globe links to "plotbunnypublishing.com" for some damned fool reason), the link takes you to a Wix page that announces the domain isn't connected to a site yet.
Going even deeper, I've found the WHOIS results and the "plotbunny.co" was registered on Dec. 9, 2021. And I'm replying on Dec. 11. The ".com" was registered on Dec. 6. Two different registrars for the domains, but that's neither here nor there; it's just something I'd noticed and I have no idea what bearings it would have in running this outfit. I wouldn't even sneeze at them until they're more forthcoming with information on staff and experience, but I would still definitely follow the standard "come back in a year to see how they're doing but even then be careful" rule.
tl/dr: NO. JUST...NO.
