This used to be my way of thinking after reading the Koran and taking thorough notes on each Surah. The English translation I had access to left me thinking surely my mystical interpretations were the intended meanings. That means this started out as a Sufi concept with me, then eventually progressed into something apart from the Old and New Testament, and Koran.
I came to think the texts were probably not actually true as they were originally intended.
The idea I had was that the God of the scriptures is Omniscient, Omnipresent, and Omnipotent because a symbolic consciousness intended to mean unconditional love providing a conscience to space-time. Since (I suspect) love is simple and unconditional apart from competing emotions, the existence of love creates a symbolic consciousness out of the universe. To infinity, everywhere is the center, so this unconditional love is at the center of all information, energy, and places.
The scriptures could have been extremely symbolic in intent, and written by God because a manifestation of the will of the symbolic consciousness I worshiped.
Even if the scriptures are ditched as probably (to my mind) false, I can think of a few reasons to worship the God created by mankind. Since acknowledged as symbolic, not a delusion to believe in. Since unconditionally loving, would motivate fair behavior to discipline one's self to fall in love with. Since infinite, easier to spot false idols to this created God's intentions. And worshiping the created God could entail making God real by manifesting as close as possible to perfect fairness in the real world, by scientific means.
I'd be interested if there is already fiction or nonfiction about this idea, and might write some if not.
