Does anyone have a current address for Deborah Schneider? My query was returned by the post office.

I sent it to 250 57th Street, Suite 2515 NY, NY 10107
Are they in a new suite or did I need to say W. 57th?
Thanks for your help.

So are they or aren't they accepting queries? Has anyone tried recently? The PM page says nothing about being closed to queries, but AQ and AT both indicate as much.

For situations like this, I'd query to include the info "as per your PM page...". That way they can hardly blame you for querying, and if they're truly closed it'll prompt them to update their page.

I just posted an interview with Victoria Marini, one of the new agents at Gelfman Schneider on my blog. You can find it here.

I've also signed up for a we-book acct just so I could query Victoria. Is it easy to use?

It's not bad. Kind of a few-step process, but on the bright side: (1) It has the guidelines for each agent right there in front of you. (2) No worrying about queries getting lost in SPAM. (3) No fear of accidentally sending to the wrong email address. ;)

Well, it's not quite recently, but more recently than anyone else who has posted here:

I queried via WEbook 10/6/2010
I received a rejection 10/28/2010

The most recent rejection reported in the comments of QueryTracker was 11/20/2010.

I hope that helps.

Posted an interview with Victoria Marini over on YAtopia. Check it out - talks about what she's looking for and what she's not.

Thanks for the interview, Chanelley! I especially liked the part where she said she was looking for YA science fiction with a male protagonist, since that's what I'm querying at the moment :)

Queried Ms. Marini on 1/20 (by e-mail instead of WEbook)
Partial request (half the manuscript) received 2/2

YA science fiction

It's my biggest partial request so far!

P.S. Chanelley, I mentioned your interview. Thanks again!

This is what it says on the website: She is very interested in acquiring Young Adult (contemporary or paranormal) commercial women’s fiction (contemporary, urban fantasy, suspense and paranormal), creative nonfiction, memoir, pop culture and humor.

Does this help?

Chanelley, just wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed the interview you posted on your blog with your agent. It was very helpful, since I am getting ready to start the query process. Big thanks.
