Concise description for a submission

This is probably a dumb question, but maybe other people wonder as well.

Some agents ask for a "concise" or "brief" description of the submission rather than "query letter". Is this something different from the 250 word query?

I'm spitballing here, but I bet they want a 250-400 word synopsis, single spaced with normal one-inch margins. That's less than a page.

As usual, ignore this once someone who actually knows comes along.

Is this for QueryManager? (I loathe QueryManager.)

I always put the body of the query in there, but YMMV.

This particular agent was for their own online form that was not query manager. Usually (said the person with CRS) I think it's agents who request submissions through email or their own online forms that say a "brief" or "concise" description. Query manager just has a spot for the query.

I have always thought that it was to get the blurb because people were sending a ten page single spaced email or something but now I'm questioning that assumption.

I don't know for sure, but maybe a one-paragraph query would work, like the kind used for UK queries?
