Hi. Does anyone know what it means when a journal that describes itself as "online" produces a print annual? Do all the writers published during the year end up in it? Forgive my naiveté.

What journal is it? Are you able to look up the ToC for last year's annual print and see whether it contains all that year's online content? My guess is that if they they have monthly online issues and one annual print issue, the print would only be the 'best picks' of each month, but I am more au fait with short story pubs than poetry.
If getting into print is your line in the sand, check out the journal carefully and make danged sure you'll get what you want; don't sub to something in the hopes or guess that it'll fulfill your requirement.
