Hi!
I'm very excited to join this forum... This is actually the first one I have ever joined as I am usually more of a lurker... Hopefully not the creepy kind :)

Writing has been a little passion of mine since I was younger, but life got in the way. This is my first tentative step to get back into writing.

I appreciate any response :) No need for advice, just a simple hello will make my day~

Hello to you :) Feel free to lurk. Lurking is good.

Welcome to AW, Cathadamadhat! It's great to meet you :D

You'll love it here, I'm sure. AW has everything you need to help you get back into writing. There's more information here about all things writing and publishing than you can shake a stick at, and an awesome, eclectic community of like-minded folk to hang out with.

Please carefully read the Newbies Guide you were linked to when you registered, as well as the stickied threads at the top of each forum page. Not only will doing so help you understand the rules, etiquette and culture of the various spaces within the forum but they'll help you avoid potentially embarrassing newbie mistakes.

AW is vast and be overwhelming/intimidating to begin. But if you take your time exploring (and lurking) you'll find your way around in no time. You might find the Writing Genre section of the boards a good place to start exploring from, or perhaps all the subforums grouped under General Writing Interest.

Explore, lurk, join in conversations you find fun or interesting if you want, make friends, enjoy yourself!

See you around the boards :)

I appreciate any response :) No need for advice, just a simple hello will make my day~

What about questions? Can we ask what kinds of genres you prefer writing?

Welcome, Cathadamadhat! I too am trying to get back into writing, after life got in the way. I am sure that you will find lots of friendly support here.

What genre(s) do you write in?
