I'm interested in knowing if anyone has dealt with either of these two printers. They don't seem like the usual print-on-demand folks, yet that seems to be what they are selling. Of the 2 web sites, I liked Gorham's. TPS seems a bit amateurish - hate the minuscule type. Looks aside, I would like to know if anyone has either had something published by them or if they had any contact with them.

Gorham Printing - www.gorhamprinting.com (http://www.gorhamprinting.com)

Total Printing Systems - www.tps1.com (http://www.tps1.com)

I haven't dealt with either personally, but I took a look to see if I could help you.

Both of these companies are POD printers, not POD publishers. I'm not sure, but maybe that's what you meant when you said they don't seem like the typical POD folks. This is true, because they only provide printing services, which since you posted in conventional self-publishing, I'm thinking that's what you're looking for??

Looking at Gorham's prices, they look high to me. On the low quantities, they're even more than author cost at some of the POD publishers.

I'd suggest comparing to http://www.booksjustbooks.com Their minimum order is 100 books at first, but they are well respected and can handle short and long run as well.

Hope that helps.

Thank you for the lead to Books Just Books. I'm a ways off from choosing a printer; however, this is one I will definitely be contacting.
