I just got a rejection only four hours after I sent my email query to an agent. I don't mind, though--it's better to get rejected fast and move on to someone who might be willing to consider the work. I'm actually quite impressed with this agent, he's obviously on the ball if he gets to a query that quickly after it arrives.
