Did this guy just decide to do the ultimate 'give-up' on his life, or did he get caught, and just decide to 'F it all!' and go 'scorched earth'?Jonesboro man blames imaginary friend 'Curt' for robbery idea

A Jonesboro Arkansas man may have needed to listen to his conscience — and not his imaginary friend — when thinking about robbing a home.
Robert McKenzie, 22, faces felony residential burglary and theft charges after stealing $10.50 in dimes from a Jonesboro home. Police say McKenzie told investigators his imaginary friend "Curt" told him to go inside the home. At a court hearing Friday, McKenzie asked a reporter why he didn't take a picture of "Curt."
Police say Nettleton School District employees caught McKenzie robbing a co-worker's home Wednesday. Officers say McKenzie stabbed a man with a screwdriver before being arrested.
McKenzie was being held Saturday on $5,000 bond at the Craighead County jail. He refused to fill out paperwork for a public defender to represent him.

What makes someone, at the age of 22, suddenly decide that they'll never be able to come up with $10.50 and need to steal it and then stab their victim with a screwdriver? You think this guy took a long time planning his brief foray into crime?
and...Curt? What's up with that?

I've always wondered why the 'imaginary friends' are never anyone like Jesus, or Ghandi, or Mother Theresa...

Clearly, he has issues owning up to his behavior and blames his imaginary buddy. But a nice, long stint in prison under the care of capable professionals, with a cost to taxpayers of about one million dollars, should turn him into a model citizen.
