View Full Version : How do you celebrate Spring?

Okay, I know its been 2weeks since spring officially arrived but Mother Nature always takes her time getting up to my little corner of the planet. To celebrate, I roll up the rugs, dig out the mud boots, and because the cabin fever has addled my brain, I get my hair cut. Since I dont seem to find time for a trim during the fall/winter, its usually a drastic difference of six inches or so! I feel like a new person every time and I think it helps to renew my positive outlook after a long winter. That's just my weird thing. Anyone else have a ritual to ring in spring?

When spring finally gets here, I'll let you know then.

I clean up my flower beds, fertilize them well, thin out the annuals that are a leetle too close together, and then plant new bulbs. *shivers in an-tici---PATION* Eventually, I'm hoping that my entire front yard is nothing but a massive flower bed.

Ship the coats out to storage, break out the light-colored clothes. Buy new makeup and get a pedicure. Hmm, sounds very All About Me.

I switch to flip flops as my main footwear. Sometimes way before it's appropriate.

I flip my mattress over, slide it to the other side of the room and then kick my laundry to the other side.

I never celebrate spring. In NH we don't have spring. We have a very late winter and then mud season. Our seasons are as follows.

July2nd -September Fall
October-April - Winter
April-May- Mud Season
May-June 30-Black Fly Season
July 1 - Summer

There is no spring..
