Do children like Dragons?

Children seem to love these dragons around here.

At last! Someone who understands! I write fantasy, too. For chidruns. Much more betters than real books.

Do your books come with crayons?

Only crayons that aren't too chewed up already.

It is not necessarily easier to write for kids

Don't kid yourself kids know what they like and it isn't necessarily what adults like. Depending on the age you plan to write for, you might have watch the scare factor for younger ones.

Kids love dragons - except dragons that eat them for breakfast. Those dragons kids probably don't like so much.

I've heard (from dragons) that eating children gives you gas. Better to stock up on Tums first. Just sayin'

(spoiler alert) It fights an giant who has terrible gas, and, well, you know what happens when you light a fire too close to gas...

Anyway--on the serious side, if you want a serious answer:

Kids love dragons. Of all sorts.

So do writers. And since Eragon there have been WAY too many dragon books published. So a new dragon book will have to be superduper fresh and original.

Just a warning.

I'd love to see some superdeduper dragons, care to put your money where your dragonbreath is in SYW?
