How is it that pleasure hurts so much?

I'm often stung by pleasure,
e.g. when walking down a blvd, spotting a fancy diner, thinking about how delightful it would be to chow down there...if only I had the loot

Next time, take an ibuprofen or something first. It'll help.

The only professional massage I had wasn't painful enough. De-stressed me, but little else.

I made the same mistake, and suffered for days. Never again. I haven't even wanted a regular massage since that experience.

I generally just get a Swedish with trigger points somewhere in the middle, so there's nice-feeling stuff before and after. Relaxes and undoes at least a few of the knots. I bruise too easily for deep-tissue. Massage therapists actually do appreciate it if you tell them what you want and when the pressure is too much. They have to guess otherwise.

I've had pleasure lead to pain five times, and the pain lasted *much* longer than the pleasure (at least there was a 9mo delay).

The pain was not during the massage, it was the next day and several days thereafter.
