Actually, not quite. Those results show the exact same question posted by either "susanbell84" or "dennisburke84." And, oddly, when the question is asked by "susanbell84" it's answered by "dennisburke84," and when the question is asked by "dennisburke84" it's answered by "susanbell84."

Yeah, about as subtle as a train wreck.

The serious answer would of course be to refer a real inquirer to the latest edition of the old standby Turabian's manual (hugely updated and expanded by new authors a year or so ago) or the APA style guide.

But that would not be spamarific.

BTW, at the master's level, the student writes a thesis. The dissertation comes at the doctoral level. The confusion in the question might have been a tipoff.

I think that's primarily a US distinction--in the UK and former Commonwealth nations, the Master's paper is also called a "dissertation".
