Auditions closed!

Woo-hoo! Auditions are now closed, with 308 entries. (Yes, we'll count the one that was posted at 12:01, because different clocks may be off by a minute or two.)

So now... the waiting and deliberating begins. Chat amongst yourselves, offer the judges baked goods and batteries (?!), whatever you like. Soon as they've made their decisions, I'll be back to announce the finalists.

What are these "rep points" you speak of?

I have already bribed her with a 3-pack of AA batteries... I BELIEVE that is enough!

And, I normally just read her intro and any articles in the newsletter.

So, I might have just never looked for it.

Gimpy, that's what I don't get... I actually have a "Discussion of the Week" linked in *every issue* of the newsletter, I made big announcements in my letter from the editor when we moved to the new board (we had an uncooler board a few months ago that didn't have nearly as many features and options), I've talked about special features on the board (like the "Ask the Editor" section where my favorite editor answers questions), etc., yet there are a bunch of people telling me just what you are-- that they never knew we had a board despite being newsletter subscribers.

Ah, well. Glad you're sticking around. And you ARE TOO a weirdo. And certainly not a Nazi.

I think maybe if you mentioned it in your intro some.. Like, maybe throwing in a "look at this interesting thread on blah blah" in the text.. I dunno. I just never noticed it until you had this contest thingy.
