I was playing Easter Bunny - and no Easter Basket it complete without Peeps. Personally, I think Peeps are horrid - but there are a bunnies and chicks and probably a slew of other animals, so someone's eating them -

So, do you love them or avoid them at all costs???

I hate them. But my mother-in-law loves them, so I save them for her. I think she'll turn into a "Peep" one day.

I love to blow them up in the microwave.

Are you trying to say there some other purpose for them?

I find them sicky sweet, but DH likes them so I always buy a pack to put with the other Easter candy.

I thought they were gross. We only ever got them the one time. Nobody in the house would eat them. We had to toss them.

Seriously, I had to spit it out. I don't even think I found it too sweet. I just found it revolting.

I would also like to propose federal legislation against Easter Grass. It is strictly prohibited in my house.

It's that gritty sugar coating. It's like eating a stale marshmallow, briefly dampened then rolled in neon sand.

Just thinking about it makes my teeth itch.

Well... I like the idea of neon sand. Sounds pretty. But I hate anything marshmallow. I only eat marshmellows.

Way out there
They are almost as bad as those orange, banana-flavored peanut things. Ick. But if you leave them get really stale, which isn't hard since nobody ever eats them till they're desperate, they're not so bad. That is if they're not pulled apart with all the grass stuck to them.

How about Hershey's Eggs? Oh, now I'm thinking about them. Got to have some.

Up at the house.
What's wrong with you people? I eat Peeps once a year. And I order Revels from the UK once a year. That's my candy intake per annum and I love it.

Stale peeps rule! Also microwaved and covered with chocolate chips--like the cheapest, gooiest, most revolting smores you can imagine.

I dunno...I feel embarrassed every time I eat one.

But then I have another.

Ditto. The last year we had Easter Grass was the first year we had a cat. Two words: Never. Again.
The cat I had a teenager became deathly ill after eating Easter grass. We don't use it here either, as I have a lovely cat I hope will live for many years to come.

When I was five, I was playing with a friend in the front yard. The friend had just eaten a bunch of mozzarella cheese washed down with cherry Kool Aid. She ended up getting sick and vomiting these globular orange....things....in the grass. Her brother came over and picked one up; he thought it was a Circus Peanut.

I can't eat 'em.
