Deftones - "Change (in the House of Flies)" - Current and all-time favorite. Listen to it every day, all the time.

What is your current favorite song?

I cannot get Split Screen Sadness by John Mayer out of my head for the life of me. Maybe it's because I've been listening to it non-stop for the last week.

What is your all-time favorite song?

Haven't I told you I hate naming favorites? Um, I don't really want to say this out loud, but maybe it's Against All Odds by Phil Collins. He doesn't do much for me elsewhere, but...

Favorite songs

Probably "I'm Stretched on your Grave" by Sineod O'Connor.

Or, maybe "What if God was one of Us?" by Joan Osbourne.

This is a tough question! Sometimes I think of it like this, so I don't have to narrow it down: what five CDs would I take with me on a cross country drive.

But ok: current favorite: overplayed, but I still like it - Gavin DeGraw - I Don't Want to Be

All time favorite: Life is a Highway - Tom Cochran

Have you heard the rest of the CD? It's excellent! And I think I want to change my all time favorite answer to Split Screen Sadness.. I hope I'm kidding. Here are SOME of my all time favorites:

Pictures of You - The Cure
Pacing the Cage - Jimmy Buffett
The Adagietto from Mahler's Fifth Symphony
Winter - Tori Amos
Anna Begins - Counting Crows
Hello, I love you - The Doors
Harvest Moon - Neil Young
Come Away with Me - Norah Jones

I told you I didn't like to pick!

That's a decent song but, come on, he has several that are far better.

You should download "In Your Atmosphere" by JM (it's not on any of his albums) if you haven't heard it already. Or, "Man on the Side." Or "Comfortable." Or, "Sucker." Or, just go buy "Inside Wants Out" (his first album).

My current favorite song is "This Fight" by Ari Hest or "They're On To Me" also by Ari Hest.

My all-time favorite is "Last Goodbye" by Jeff Buckley, though "Ghost" by Howie Day is on up there.

Ahhh... "Last Goodbye". Excellent song.

I actually sent that song to my ex-fiancee a long time ago, in another life....

Comfortable is by far my favorite JM song. Just can't seem to shake Split Screen Sadness right now. And Howie Day? Excellent!

I don't think I could pick just one, or even ten (I have about 1600 on my iPod), but here are a few:

Angel Mine - Cowboy Junkies*
Hasn't Hit Me Yet - Blue Rodeo*
The Wrong Man was Convicted - Barenaked Ladies*
Scatterbrain - treble charger*
Red - treble charger*
For Now - Avenue Q cast recording
Ode to Joy - Beethoven
all violin concertos - Mozart
Muddy Water - Big River cast recording
Feel - Robbie Williams
Weight of the World - Chantal Kreviazak* (sp?)
almost anything by David Wilcox (the American one, not the Canadian one), but particularly That's What the Lonely is For and Eye of the Hurricane

(*=Canadian content)

If I kept going, I'd be here all night, and you guys would be scrolling and scrolling... "Isn't she done yet?"

Some of my current and all-time favorites, all smashed together, are:

"Sympathy for the Devil" - Rolling Stones
"People are Strange" - The Doors
"Baba O'Riley (Teenage Wasteland)" - The Who
"Hands to Heaven" - I think the band is called Breathe, not sure though
"Scars" - Papa Roach
"Closer" - Nine Inch Nails
"Head Like a Hole" - Nine Inch Nails
"Wanted Dead or Alive" - Bon Jovi
"Meet Virginia" - Train
"Back in Black" and "Thunderstruck" - AC/DC
"Goodnight Elizabeth" - Counting Crows

Hmm...I could go on, but I'm with firehorse - don't want the "isn't she done yet?" thoughts either...

Now: Democracy, Leornard Cohen

Most of the Time: Heart of Stone, Maddy Prior

Others:

Peter Gabriel: In Your Eyes, Secret World, Sky Blue, A Different Drum (If I had to pick an album, I'd probably go with Us. And sorely miss the rest.)

Heather Dale: Mordred's Lullaby

The Flash Girls: "You mean I have to pick only a few?! Okay, ummmm... NOT the rather shaky Sure of Me, nor Amaryllis. Does that help?"

Jim Moray: Lord Bateman

June Tabor: Out of Winter/Waltzing's for Dreamers (The latter written by Richard Thompson. It's a miracle when anyone, even June, can do one of his songs better than he can)

Varttina: Kyla Vuotti Uuta Kuuta.

Oysterband - The False Knight on the Road, Rise Above.

Garmarna - Herr Holkin, Virga Ac Diadema
