AW. A very nice place!
Will be submitting my strip to the syndicates in about a week and was wondering if anybody had any inside tips about what to say in the cover letter or anything else pertaining to the nightmarish, marketing process. I also read that one of the large syndicates accepts emailed subs. Do you know which one this is? I've forgotten. Thnx :)

Best advice - be 5 times as good as any thing currently being published and 10 times as good as any competing strips being offered.

I tried to submit 3 strips at various times in the 80s only to find myself competing with Gary Trudeau, (Doonesbury), Bill Waterson, (Calvin and Hobbes) and David Horsey, (best known as a Pulitzer prize winning editorial cartoonist who started a strip cartoon, "Boomer’s Song") in the late ‘80s.

I still think I was pretty darn good, but I'm the first to admit, my Art wasn't in their league when I started, and I never tried again.
