I just got this email:
Dear Luke,
Many thanks for your submission. "I Could Murder a Good Book" is
really something. You may or may not be surprised to learn that you've
captured pretty much exactly the writing style (and attitude!) of a
fair number of the authors who send us stories. It made us wince just
to look at it. And so we've been unsure whether to choose it or not...
For a start, we're wondering how many people will look at it and not
get it - most people would, I hope, but then, considering some of the
submissions we receive...
In the end we are happy to say that we would like to use this story
for issue 35.
Many thanks for submitting your story - it gave us a good laugh, and
we hope (most) of our readers will find it similarly entertaining!
