What should you be doing at this very moment?

I think it's got possibilities...

What I should be doing at this very moment is fishing. On a beach. While sitting in a comfy chair and being served tasty beverages by a comely lass.

Since my 2 year old is being entertained by the Wiggles and the house is all clean I should be writing!

I should be packing for my trip tomorrow. No, wait, I should be doing laundry and THEN packing for my trip tomorrow. As usual, I'm sitting here browsing AW.

If not the day job, then something that starts with a W and rhymes with "oggress."

But it's such a nice day out, and I've been unproductive all winter--why spoil the momentum?

I should be doing some freelance work.

I should be out conquering the world.

Maybe after my nap...

I should be writing an essay.

But since I really can't be bothered and I'm fairly I'm making a hash of it . . .

I should be working.

I should be mashing potatoes.

I should be in my mansion in San Diego or possibly at the Miami estate, putting on my new Missoni dress and Gina heels in preparation to having a quick meeting with director and Tom Hardy about my latest screenplay, before going out with some hunksome men and hilarious friends and sisters, wondering if I don't look a bit too thin in said dress and wishing I didn't have to meet my finance manager tomorrow about how exactly to maximise that preposterously large lottery win.

That's what I SHOULD be doing.

The reality, shall we just say, involves the words 'rain', 'work', 'overdraft', 'writers' block', and 'gas bill'.

There are three things I could/should be doing right now: laundry, lunch, and continuing my unsuccessful search for a new job that does not deal with the public.

So fire me! I need break from dishes.

Cleaning the living room. I tore apart my spare/storage room yesterday and the overflow is in the middle of my living room... ah well... at least with my desk moved into the spare room, there's room for my nifty new wing chair in there! Not that I can get over the heap to sit in it.

Clearly my circuits are fried. I'm thinking something along the lines of... nap.

WIP.

Now back to it...

Getting dressed! Flooring guy coming to measure the family room. Won a gift certificate toward flooring in local radio contest, so we are doing the basement family room.

I should either be packing for my little WIP research trip to London tomorrow, or (probably more importantly), getting ready to go to work.
