After noodling around for a while, I still haven't figured out what I did to put a picture in my message a month or so ago. (Not an avatar--that I wrote down!) It's probably so simple it's obvious.

To you, maybe!

Can someone refresh my memory? Simple terms would help--I'm high maintenance, low-tech.

Scroll down (in editing mode) to "Additional Options" -- then click "manage attachments" to upload the picture!

I tried to upload a picture, and it wasn't very big, really. I have seen some images here that were wayyy bigger. But when I hit upload, it said the picture was 148 kgb and I only had 39. Can anyone tell me how others are uploading these huge pictures and I can't get this small one done?

Yes, I checked the file type, it is one of those. The only thing I can figure out is that picture is saved on a page alone and the forum computer is reading it as the whole page. I'm not computer savvy enough to know.

Zaz, that is fine for something online, which I am going to try now, but I wanted to use some pictures i have saved as documents. That makes it where I have to use the download function. By the way, how you been??

Use a GIF file instead of JPG. There seems to be a problem with uploading JPG.

If you're just want to use a graphics posted on some other sites, post the image URL using the "Insert Image" icon (or put the tag IMG and /IMG in brackets around the URL).

Thanks, Ray. I will try changing a file to gif and see if it works then.

Always in the last place you look.
Strikethrough

I can do this effect elsewhere, but it doesn't seem to be implemented here, unless someone can show me how. Seems like an obvious formatting option for a writers' site.

crossed out text

Not working. :( It's not like I'm a web guru or anything, but this is one of the really simple tags, just <s>crossed out text</s> in HTML.
