I'm a little freaked-out -- one of the editors of VoiceCatcher e-mailed me last night & asked me to read an excerpt of my story on the radio tomorrow night! My brain is stuttering just thinking about it, but how can I say no? I've been trying to get a slot at a reading since November, but so far no dice. This is a good thing, right??

At any rate, for you Portlanders, it'll be on KBOO (90.7), 10-11 p.m. She wants me to call in at about 10:20 -- wow. Reading on the radio. I'm stunned.

Wow! I'd be flipping out but you can't pass up an opportunity like that.

Good luck, my friend! I'm sure you'll do GREAT.

Thanks everyone! It went pretty well -- my writing buddy e-mailed & said I sounded a little nervous but the reading was clear & easy to follow. I didn't know what to expect conversation-wise before I read my excerpt - doesn't it bite that we have to talk in first draft material??

I'm glad it's over -- now I've read publicly & lightning didn't strike me, so life is good. :Sun:

Thanks again for your support!
