I've seen here where several people have published books (pictorial, mostly or otherwise) on local areas.
I know Arcadia is a big publisher of such books, and I know one can look in Writer's Market to get names of such publishers.
I was wondering however, if anyone has published such books with someone? If so, can you give details of what they require and you're overall experience with them?
Thanks to everyone in advance.

Moongoddess,

I've published two books with Arcadia, and am working on a third. I'd be happy to answer any questions you might have. Just at this moment, I'm getting ready for work.

Check out my books here (http://www.allensedge.com).

I have two books coming out with Mercer University Press, and they wanted a proper query first, then a book proposal, then they offered contract. I'm very happy with them and I have another proposal with them right now. I go to them for all the subjects they cover, and only query other ones when they decline or when my topic doesn't fit in with their catalog.
