What's your favorite word ever?

Mine is shillelagh. I enjoy saying it.

My favorite use of the word was when Family Guy's Peter Griffin was told by his real father, "Aye, now I see that you are from the broth of me own stubby shillelagh!"

I use the word as often as possible.

Oh, good thread, Kelly!

Mine is serendipity. When I taught second grade that was one of their new words of the day. I love the way that word sounds so upbeat, and the kids loved it too and used to repeat it a lot.

Cow. I don't know why, but it's a funny word. The animal looks pretty funny, too. I wonder what aliens think if that's the first creature they see? "Oh, Nigel, this planet couldn't possibly sustain decent life: these creatures are ridiculous."

There's a funny poem, (well, not funny, kind of corny, actually), about eggs and chickens that has the word conundrum in it.

I can't remember the poem, but the last lines go something like:

"Chickens lay eggs, and they have legs. Eggs come from chickens, but have no legs under 'em, what a conundrum."

I love words! I don't have any one favorite, but the first of my top five would be. . . (drumroll here) asshat. I first learned the word off of Bad Rpers Suck on LJ.

I also like the word apple. When I'm trying to annoy people, I use the word repeatedly: "Apple fritter, apple butter, applesauce, apple shoes, apple tree, apple face. . ."
