I saw it. I honestly CANNOT wait. I got my son the boxed set of the first three a while back and he absolutely loves them. We are going to #4 on opening night. When is that, anyway?

Just saw it! Man Cate Blanchett rocks! I still wish they could have shown a bit more of the movie - but from what you can see seems to have a fun sense of humour, and the same colour palate as the originals (this was something I was worried about considering Spielberg seems to be going through a blue period). Most excited!!

I cannot contain my excitement for this. Only one event this year has topped it -- and that's saying a lot. :)

I'm so so so so so so excited! (If you couldn't tell in my post above.) I am SOOO thrilled with the casting, too! Obviously Indy, but also Cate and Shia.

OMG this is as exciting as Star Wars Episode One, and promises to be SO MUCH better!!! Yes I will be waiting in line for the midnight showing.

Is it really only a couple of months till it comes out?

Oh, I think Harrison Ford looks great for his age. I got chills down my spine just watching the trailer. And despite the fact that I'm old enough to be Shia LeBoeuf's mom, he really is just adorable.

My son and I will be at the front of the line on May 22!!

He looks like my husband's grandmother. But at least he's not wearing that heinous earing. I hope they put some putty over the saggy hole. Lol!

And he sounds marvelous.

Don't get me wrong, Harrison Ford was my fourth love. I love him still.

Was that Indy stealing the Ark out of storage?

My roommates just added these to our Netflix cue -- can you believe one of them has never watched them? They'll get here tomorrow. My only regret is they didn't show up today--they would make for a much better Valentine's Day.

Harrison Ford looks very good in the trailer; Indy continuing his adventures looks very believable. Loved how he works his whip jumping into the jeep and then hauling ass out of it. He looks like he can kick the butts of guys half his age, for sure.

Fargin' awesome! This is going to kick the summer movie season off like gangbusters. Mark my words, Indy IV is going to be the highest grossing opening weekend in box office history.

I'll eat my own gym socks if that prediction doesn't come true.

All the kids who grew up on Indy have their own money now. It's going to be epic.

Amen. I don't usually go to opening night but this film needs to be seen in a packed theatre at midnight preferably IMAX!

The unfashionable end of the western spiral arm of
I'd ordinarily avoid gushing about how exciting it is, but I appear to be the resident cynic.
I'm EXTRAORDINARILY excited, and the wardrobe and atmosphere look just PERFECT!

BUT:
Does it seem to anyone else that the ... 'feel' of the thing appears to have been Hollywooded up a bit?

Let me explain.

In ye olden days, the great thing about Indy was that he wasn't brilliant (if you'll forgive the blasphemy). He knew how to handle himself, but he rather bumbled through it.
That's what made him so charming.
In the trailer, he TWICE uses his whip running. 'On the fly' if you'll pardon the argot.
They seem to have decided (they being the filmists) that the only thing that's different about Indy is that he carries a whip.

Or am I just cynical because it's valentines day?
That's probably it.
