For me it would be pretty ineffective. I tend to wear clothing over my knickers so the only person who'd ever see it would be my husband (whose decidedly apolitical). I wouldn't even read it because I rarely glance at my own arse.

Hm. I suppose you could wear the knickers on your head. Admittedly less sexy.

A good point. So next time you see a girl with her underwear showing, check to see if there's a slogan... she may be doing it deliberately. :)

Also, I rather suspect that the act of them putting them on sale is their way of saying something.
They may also wave the sales figures about at some point.
