Has anyone been to or had an "open house" baby shower?

I'm working on an article for a parenting website about open house baby showers. These typically occur throughout one day and have a "drop-in" feel rather than a scheduled two-hour event. I'd also like to talk to parents who have had a shower after the baby's birth, where people bring gifts, eat, and meet the baby all in the same day.

Please PM me if you're willing to be interviewed and I'll shoot you a few questions.

Thank you!

Not sure it's the same thing, but I've been to a "come and go" baby shower, where it is scheduled for say 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and guests come at any time during that 3 hours. Refreshments are offered and gifts are displayed (brought unwrapped) and attendees can view the gifts, stay and visit a while and leave. I've never heard of "open house" baby showers, so maybe this isn't the same thing?

In our area, we call them floating showers. It's like Fern says, people come and go.
