Kitchen Counter Tiling -- Day 3

For those of you who oogled last time, this is the third day I've had to work on the tiles and, with the exception of the grouting (tomorrow), done. You'll also note the lighting I installed. My favorite part.

Awesome job!! We just started doing that in the laundry room -- now that you're all practiced up and experienced, ya doing anything for the next couple days??

Looks beautiful, great work! I imagine it will be satisfying to walk into the room every morning and see that beautiful tile that you laid yourself. Painting a room, I think, doesn't give the same satisfaction -- tile is so orderly and substantial.

It looks great. I'm so jealous. We want to tile our kitchen counter but CANNOT find normal tile anywhere in this country. Well, a five-hour radius. Everything has tacky details painted on it and we just want plain white or terra-cotta color. Grr.

It looks like you also did a good job with your daughter.

For those wondering, yeah. I did start it last year.

Unfortunately, because we use the kitchen so much, I have to wait until my wife is gone to her mother's in Atlanta to do work. So, this is three visits' worth. However, with tomorrow's grouting, it's complete.

Oh, tile-ing! I was wondering what the stink you were talking about. Good color. Now when cleaning the grout you need to go with Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. Cleans them good and whitens them again.

Dear Jason,

Please come to my house. You are free to bring your entire family, so you won't grow lonely.

I will buy tile and all materials for you to redo both our upstairs bathrooms, one at a time, while your family indulges in idle pursuits. You will all get home cooking three times daily, and probably snacks as well.

In light of your excellent taste in tile, I'll even let you choose what to install on floors, walls, and counter tops.

Come on, you know you want to!

Nice job. Don't forget to seal the grout after 72 hours.

Tile lab sealer in the dark green bottle is good stuff, seems to last longer than most sealants.
