I, an utterly incompetent chef, have just acheived my finest cullinary moment. I will never be this awesome again, ever.

I HAVE SUCCESSFULLY MADE BAOZI.

ON MY FIRST TRY.

That's right. I, who cannot even make a casserole without bursting into tears and screwing up something royally, have created these yummy dim sum delicacies. And that's not all! Not only did I make PORK baozi, I have also made red bean paste baozi!

FROM SCRATCH!!!

Congratulations, and thank you for finally putting a name to something I've enjoyed in many Chinese restaurants but never knew what it was called.

:D

Although, uh, I should probably confess that I pulled that pic up there off wikipedia. My buns look significantly lumpier. But they taste fine!

I'm totally impressed that you can even spell those things, let alone cook them. Yay for you!

First thing you learn in a foreign country: how to order food you like. :)

Although my other recent accomplishment is reaching a level of proficiency in Chinese such that I can now construct sentences thusly:

"The small red horse rides the school bus to school."
"I love my teacher!"
"Learning Chinese makes me happy!"
"Do you love the white winter snow?"

That's right, I am now competent to hold a conversation with a two-year-old.

But two year olds can't write, now can they? NYAH!

I haven't made Baozi in a long time. I think I might try that viagra stuff, see how that works out.
