This is a tough one. What's the best John Hughes film? And perhaps more importantly, what happened to his muse around 1990 and will she ever return?

That's exactly how I chose and the same movie.

Without lamps, there'd be no light.

So what happened to John Hughes? Seriously? Look at that brilliant body of work. We could devote a thread to each movie and quote it for hours. Then suddenly, after the wildly successful Home Alone in 1990, he simply stopped trying:
