I have written a short story under a pseudonym. In the query letter, where should I mention this, is best just to say "the story is complete at xyz words and I have written it under the pseudonym "Cheeriee Tugs"?

Just have your real name in your cover letter and your pseudonym under the title. Would you need a query letter for submitting a short?
