they seem fairly obvious, but anything can happen in the playoffs...

San Diego Chargers at New England Patriots

temp in the low twenties, gusty winds, hobbled san diego QB
New York Giants at Green Bay Packers

below zero temps with horrific windchill.
i've got to go with the home teams in both (pats and pack);
though, if rivers makes an early departure with that bum knee and volek comes in and leads the team to victory over the seemingly unbeatable patriots, it will be an historic moment in playoff history.

My picks almost always seem to lose, and I want Green Bay & San Diego to win.

Therefore, I will place the Godwin Curse upon New York & New England and pick them to win the conference championships.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!

(Though I will say I don't think the Giants stand a shot in hell tonight.)

Patriots and... Uh... Wait, other teams exist?

Far out, man.

(Gotta head out to the bar NOW, actually.. Whoops. Late, late, late. Gotta love Cape Cod - it's 3:20 in the afternoon and bars are to capacity - you need reservations at the good places to watch the game! GO PATS!)

I'm predicting Rivers exits and Volek does come in.

For those who haven't heard:

The Packer's Prayer

Our Favre, who art in Lambeau, hallowed be thine arm.
Thy bowl will come, it will be won. In Phoenix as it is in Lambeau.
And give us this Sunday, our weekly win. And give us many touchdown passes. But do not let others pass against us.
Lead us not into frustration, but deliver us to the valley of the sun.
For thine is the MVP, the best of the NFC, and the glory of the Cheeseheads, now and forever.
Go get 'em. Amen.

You know, I'm gonna laugh my ass off if San Diego ends up winning this game with nothing but field goals.

Yeah, yeah, yeah. I know.

And now the Giants have won as well in OT........ WTF?

They didn't even win their division, and now they're the NFC Champs?

Something's very wrong with that.

If I were Green Bay or the Giants, I'd have done everything I could to lose the game today. Because who really wants to get spanked by the dream-team on Superbowl Sunday? Bunch of sadists.

Jimmy Johnson looks like he's about five minutes away from dropping dead from a hypothermic pulmonary embolism.

Get that guy inside!

That's so funny - I said almost the same thing. I almost hoped Green Bay would win.
