Hi. I recently landed my first ever short story contract and it contained this clause:

[Publisher] will protect copyright of your Article by registering copyright of the issue of [Anthology Name]in which it appears in the name of [Publisher].

I have no idea what it means! I was wondering if you could help.

Ahhhh. Thanks. :)

Not only am I completely new at this, I'm not even in the same country as the publisher, so it all looks like a foreign language to me!
