Request before Rejection?

honeywell

Not sure if this is just a coincidence, but I started sending out queries last Mon and all last week I got mostly requests (6 requests) and just a few rejections (2 rejections).

I'd like to say the trend has continued this week, but I have only gotten rejections to my query so far.

Just wondering if this is more than coincidence? Do requests come faster than rejections? Seems like if an agent reads a query, likes it, they might shoot off an instant request (in most cases I got the request the same day I emailed the query and often within a few hours) but if they are lukewarm with the query, maybe they push it aside or pass it to assistant?

I'm just going on theory here. Obviously I have no proof. But I did find it odd.

Anyone have a similar experience? Or better yet, a completely different one? I want to still have hope for the queries that are out, but something tells me not to . . .
