FIRST PLACE
Greetings heroes and evildoers! The comic book forum kicks off the new year with a rock ‘em-sock ‘em battle of super (writing) powers. It’s the Justice League vs. Avengers vs. X-Men vs. Defenders vs. Teen Titans in a Cage Match on Krypton that will wake the neighbors and put every 12-issue miniseries to shame!
Meanwhile, at the Bat Cave … here’s how it works:
1. Look at the linked page below. If you cannot see the page, go to http://jasontudor.com/storage/comic/comic_con.jpg to look at it. Gaze upon it. Let the vibes of Doctor Strange permeate your psyche and give it strength.
2. Create a one-page “story” based on what you see below by filling in the bubbles or caption boxes. You’ll notice there are eight (8) places for text. And you can only squeeze so much text into those boxes. How much? Glad you asked, daring crimefighter!

Send your entry to me via private message labeled “Comic Contest Entry.” I’ve got to have your entry by 9 p.m., EST, Jan. 18 or Galactus will eat the planet! So, heed the deadline OR WE ALL DIE!
I’ll gather all the entries. They will be sorted and prepped at Xavier’s School. Then, we’ll post them (without IDs, of course). The populous of AWtropolis will then vote for them. Any AW member may vote by sending me a PM with their top 3 choices, in order. Note the voting period above.
Cerebro will count the votes and pick a winner. We’ll make the announcement, jump in the invisible jet and get back to crime fighting!
For the sake of humanity, so that Superman might survive another Lex Luthor scheme, so that Reuben Flagg continues his work as a Plexus Ranger; so that Grimjack roams Cynosure; and that Alpha Flight and Captain Canuck continue to be Canada’s coolest superheroes ...
