You mean Tennessee actually has its own football team? Amazing. What's next?

Seattle over Washington (a friend of ours son plays for them...he graduated from USC, under the Pete Carroll's tutelage. Regardless, Washington's inspiration's has run its course. Close score, though.

I concur w/ Jacksonville over the Steelers. Although, Bradshaw would hate you for saying so.

I dunno if Eli has the staying power, or the stomach to pull out a win. We'll have to see. 'Course, Tiki's twin has pissed off the Giants w/ his remarks.

As for the Chargers, the QB, AKA: River Mouth, his trash talking alone may just win the game. The guy never shuts up, however, he does have the arm to back it up, so there is that.

Yeah, I'm back.

'Skins 23-20 (in OT?)... can't go against their sudden but unfortunate karma.

Jags 27-17... Steelers just too beat up & haven't played well in several weeks.

Giants 20-13... Though I also wonder if Eli will stay tough this weekend.

Chargers 24-20... I agree with Champ Bailey - Rivers hasn't yet earned his yapping. Game may be closer than people think, even with all the Titans injury probs. Don't underestimate Jeff Fisher... and don't overestimate Norv Turner.

Washington/Seattle -- Seattle by 3 (god I hope - the Redskins have betrayed me and I have shunned my home team lo these many years.)

Jacksonville/Pittsburg -- Pittsburg by 10

New York/Tampa Bay -- Tampa by some weird number like 6 1/2 because they're just like that

Tennessee/San Diego -- San Diego by a touchdown (please, please, please)

ETA - I haven't started watching the game yet, because I record it and start an hour an change into it so I don't have to watch commercials. I love technology!

The worst part of watching football these days is the damn commercials. It wouldn't be so bad if they didn't run the same stupid ads, over and over and over until it makes you sick of the product they're pushing.

Have you ever timed the length of an actual game, Perks, sans commercials? It must run at least an hour less without them.

As for winning teams, I'll go with:

Seattle
Pittsburgh
Tampa Bay
San Diego

Sorry, man, my wife dragged me out of the house to go shopping despite my desperate cries that Haskins needs me!

And since now I'm late, I'll skip the Washington/Seattle game (I would have picked Seattle, but since they're winning, I can't prove that).

For the rest:

Pittsburgh
New York
San Diego

Seattle 27, Washington 17
Pittsburgh 13, Jacksonville 10

Tampa Bay 20, N.Y. Giants 19 (Jim Melvin, the Bucs fan, five heart attacks)
San Diego 31, Tennessee 13

Wait a minute. Sorry. I accidentally typed some wrong letters and numbers. What I meant to type was Jacksonville 31, Pittsburgh 21.
