January 2008 Flash Fiction Carnival!

Question for ya! In FFC III Virginia said it was okay to adapt something from work we've already written if it fits the theme and word count. Is this still okay, or do the rules vary depending on who's hosting the Carnival?

If you've already covered this and I missed it, I apologize.

I'm kind of interesting in participating, but feel guilty for not finding the time to read and comment on everyone else's pieces.

I've got the flu, but I have a good idea of where I'm going with the story I want to send in...and I still have a couple days. I'm in. Totally.
