I have had a look around, but haven't found what I am looking for. I wonder what UK writer related forums (preferably non-fiction) our fellow UK members here are also members of?? Would you like to make any recommendations?

WriteWords is not a bad site - essentially a UK version of AW. You do have to pay for membership but I think you can do a free trial to see whether you find it useful. There's a non-fiction forum for the site and they have sections on news and developments (which I find useful to delve into) together with SYW Forums.
