Text Talk Illiteracy

I have no clue. I don't own a cell phone.

As a middle aged guy, texting is greek to me, but I believe that's supposed to represent a heart.

I'm more comfortable in real-world speak, but I'm also sixteen...feel free to ask me anything.

My daughter says that symbol just means love.

I use to HATE texting when I had my old phone, or when I actually got a cell. Now, I text on a regular basis. And do you count 21 being too old, if you so you better duck behind a couch, mister! Haha!

I can help because I usually help my mom with these sort of questions to get her into the real world of things. Including texting.

And for me, I actually text like I'm typing. I have to spell the whole words out unless I can shorten it in some way.

My dad thought it meant less than 3...lol

I used to you use text speak or computer speak...but I rather just type it all out now, even on my phone

My daughter has this habit now of actually saying, in normal conversation, "LOL" to anything mildly amusing. It is really part of her vocabulary now, with a specific meaning, kinda "That is pretty sick Dad."

I send texts, but I write out the whole words. This text speech is also new to me.

When I was a teenager - waaaaaay back in the 80s, the sentiment was the same, but the words were different. B*** F***** Egypt.
