I'm on the verge of losing my mind. I've had the same song (Chip's Lament from "Spelling Bee") going through my head for three DAYS now. It won't get out! It's making it hard to sleep! And think!

Someone please give me a replacement song to get stuck in my head. ANYTHING would be better at this point!

Rihanna's Umbrella...guaranteed to annoy the hell out of you and stick in your brain for days. But it's better than what you have now. :)

You can stand under my umbrella, ella, ella, ella.

This MMJ song has been on my mind for days. It's wonderfully catchy.

What A Wonderful Man. (http://www.saladdaysmusic.net/MP3%27s/ACL1/MMJ_what_a_wonderful_man.mp3)

I've managed to get Staying Alive stuck for a few minutes, at least. Let's hope it lasts the night! Unfortunately, I'm not familiar with the other suggestions. :(

that's exactly what makes me want to pull my hair out. Like fingernails on a chalkboard, or my nephew constantly screaming in a very high-pitched voice. NOTE, he's only one.

Amateurs...

We'll be singing
When we're winning
We'll be singing

I get knocked down but I get up again
You're never going to keep me down
I get knocked down but I get up again
You're never going to keep me down
I get knocked down but I get up again
You're never going to keep me down

Pissing the night away
Pissing the night away

He drinks a whisky drink
He drinks a vodka drink
He drinks a lager drink
He drinks a cider drink
He sings the songs that remind him of the good times
He sings the songs that remind him of the better times:

"Oh Danny Boy, Danny Boy, Danny Boy..."

I get knocked down but I get up again
You're never going to keep me down
I get knocked down but I get up again
You're never going to keep me down
I get knocked down but I get up again
You're never going to keep me down

Pissing the night away
Pissing the night away

He drinks a whisky drink
He drinks a vodka drink
He drinks a lager drink
He drinks a cider drink
He sings the songs that remind him of the good times
He sings the songs that remind him of the better times:

"Don't cry for me, next door neighbour..."

I get knocked down but I get up again
You're never going to keep me down
I get knocked down but I get up again
You're never going to keep me down
I get knocked down but I get up again
You're never going to keep me down

We'll be singing
When we're winning
We'll be singing...

I always thought they were singing "Tiny boy".

Thanks for getting that song stuck in my head now. I'm going upstairs to make a coffee drink.

You can stand under my umbrella, ella, ella, ella.

You know I had never heard of that song, until the other day I spent a couple of hours in some clothes store, and it was on throughout. It did molest my brain for a while, but thank god evaporated.

Dancing Queen by ABBA. That ought to do the trick. Please, take it... it's driving me crazy!

That is definetly the song for it. Knowing me, knowing you aha...

Heeeeey Macarena.

Not heard that song in ages, and a good one too especially for dancing and repetitive eye strain. ;)

I've not had any songs stuck in my head for a while, as I've been trying to push all thoughts and associations out.

Here you go:

Baby's good to me, you know,
She's happy as can be, you know,
She said so.
I'm in love with her and I feel fine.

Baby says she's mine, you know,
She tells me all the time, you know,
She said so.
I'm in love with her and I feel fine.

I'm so glad that she's my little girl.
She's so glad, she's telling all the world
That her baby buys her things, you know.
He buys her diamond rings, you know,
She said so.
She's in love with me and I feel fine, mmm.

Baby says she's mine, you know,
She tells me all the time, you know,
She said so.
I'm in love with her and I feel fine.

I'm so glad that she's my little girl.
She's so glad, she's telling all the world
That her baby buys her things, you know.
He buys her diamond rings, you know,
She said so.
She's in love with me and I feel fine, mmm, mmm.

More Beatles:

Jojo was a man who thought he was a loner
But he knew it wouldn't last.
Jojo left his home in Tucson, Arizona
For some California grass.

Get back, get back.
Get back to where you once belonged
Get back, get back.
Get back to where you once belonged.
Get back Jojo. Go home
Get back, get back.
Back to where you once belonged
Get back, get back.
Back to where you once belonged.
Get back Jo.

Sweet Loretta Martin thought she was a woman
But she was another man
All the girls around her say she's got it coming
But she gets it while she can

Get back, get back.
Get back to where you once belonged
Get back, get back.
Get back to where you once belonged.
Get back Loretta. Go home
Get back, get back.
Get back to where you once belonged
Get back, get back.
Get back to where you once belonged.
Get back Loretta

Your mother's waiting for you
Wearing her high-heel shoes
And her low-neck sweater
Get on home Loretta

Get back, get back.
Get back to where you once belonged.

Hey, there, Delilah,
I think I'll play some random chords
on my guitar and sing
some random lyrics that maybe
might scan along to the chords
or maybe not
because I love you. :Headbang:

:banana::banana: Unfortunately, the bananas dig it...

Code Monkey by Jonathan Coulton

Code Monkey get up get coffee
Code Monkey go to job
Code Monkey have boring meeting
With boring manager Rob
Rob say Code Monkey very dilligent
But his output stink
His code not "functional" or "elegant"
What do Code Monkey think?
Code Monkey think maybe manager want to write god damned login page himself
Code Monkey not say it out loud
Code Monkey not crazy, just proud

Code Monkey like Fritos
Code Monkey like Tab and Mountain Dew
Code Monkey very simple man
With big warm fuzzy secret heart:
Code Monkey like you

Code Monkey hang around at front desk
Tell you sweater look nice
Code Monkey offer buy you soda
Bring you cup, bring you ice
You say no thank you for the soda cause
Soda make you fat
Anyway you busy with the telephone
No time for chat
Code Monkey have long walk back to cubicle he sit down pretend to work
Code Monkey not thinking so straight
Code Monkey not feeling so great

Code Monkey like Fritos
Code Monkey like Tab and Mountain Dew
Code Monkey very simple man
With big warm fuzzy secret heart:
Code Monkey like you
Code Monkey like you a lot

Code Monkey have every reason
To get out this place
Code Monkey just keep on working
See your soft pretty face
Much rather wake up, eat a coffee cake
Take bath, take nap
This job "fulfilling in creative way"
Such a load of crap
Code Monkey think someday he have everything even pretty girl like you
Code Monkey just waiting for now
Code Monkey say someday, somehow

Code Monkey like Fritos
Code Monkey like Tab and Mountain Dew
Code Monkey very simple man
With big warm fuzzy secret heart:
Code Monkey like you

This is the perfect song for a writer...

Paper back writer (paperback writer)
Dear Sir or Madam, will you read my book?
It took me years to write, will you take a look?
It's based on a novel by a man named Lear
And I need a job, so I want to be a paperback writer,
Paperback writer.

It's the dirty story of a dirty man
And his clinging wife doesn't understand.
His son is working for the Daily Mail,
It's a steady job but he wants to be a paperback writer,
Paperback writer.

Paperback writer (paperback writer)

It's a thousand pages, give or take a few,
I'll be writing more in a week or two.
I can make it longer if you like the style,
I can change it round and I want to be a paperback writer,
Paperback writer.

If you really like it you can have the rights,
It could make a million for you overnight.
If you must return it, you can send it here
But I need a break and I want to be a paperback writer,
Paperback writer.

Paperback writer (paperback writer)

Paperback writer - paperback writer
Paperback writer - paperback writer
