Last night I took my first ever imigran tablet for my migraine and it worked. Unfortunately this afternoon I felt it threatening to return, so went to the locker room at work and popped the other pill from the blister pack. I began to feel a bit woozy, but aside from that didn't have any major side effects.
Or so I thought.
I went back onto the shop floor and had to grab a passing colleague. I say 'had to', I mean, I did, because he's young and good looking.
And this is what I said.
"Hey. Hey, c'mere. I need to ask you something."
"Sure, Nichola...what's the problem?"
"I've just taken some migraine medication-"
"What did you do that for?"
"Uh, because I've got a migraine, stoopid. Anyway. See over there? Is there an elf behind the childrenswear counter?"
"Yes. There is."
"It's someone dressed up for Santa's grotto?"
"Yes. That's D***** dressed as an elf."
"So you see him too?"
"Yes."
"It's not my migraine medication?"
"Don't worry Nichola; he's real."
Phew. I'm not mad after all.
