View Full Version : Our PA Book Lives Again!

We have found a new home for our novel Goldie.

A small e-publisher named Stonehedge has accepted the ms for publication and the editor liked it so much she asked for permission to send it to the editor and owner of another small press for possible "print" publication.

This isn't the big time, but it's a good start and we couldn't be happier!

We got our rights returned last year, but continued to be brokenhearted because no one wanted to do a reprint of our book. Going with PA almost ruined our chances of getting Goldie reprinted and into reader's hands.

Moral of this story...never, never give your "first rights" to a vanity press who's only interest is selling your book to YOU.

If I may suggest something and you feel comfortable with it, why not post the sales each royalty period after your book is out so that writers can see the difference between a real publisher and PubliSHAMerica?

Congrats. :)

I know this thread is a couple months old, but I wanted to respond and say first, Congratulations, Saundra; and second, this gives me hope for my old PA book. I'm in the middle of writing another novel up, but I might set it aside for a while to see about re-writing WC. A few things will need to be changed, but still, it might see the light of day.

Thanks for posting this wonderful news!

:hooray:
