Okay...so this is how a conversation went last night. I was in bed reading, hubby came in to the room & saw the picture of the back of the book.

"Is that ToT's book?"
"ToT doesn't have a book,yet, I think.." I say.
"Kinda looks like Inky."
I turn book over & look at picture, "Hmmm...kinda does."
He picks up book from headboard. "You finished Ray's book?"
"I told you I did & I really liked it."
"Hmm..I guess you did. I forgot. Did you get Aye, Aye, Aye's new book yet?" (He knows how to properly say III :) )
"Nope. Or I'd be reading that one instead of this."
"How was the love of your life today?" (Refering to cray)
I giggle & say "fine."

Is it just me or does anyone else go home after a day of "work" (meaning goofing off in here) and talk to your spouse about your day on AW like you just had a great time in a bar with your friends? I think mine may know too much:D

Mine knows nothing to very little, and I plan to keep it that way.

He occasionally catches me snickering over someone's witty post, and I know he wonders why I keep having to clean tea off my monitor, but other than that, no. He'd understand this about as much as he understands my characters doing things I didn't plan on.

My hubby is very glad that I've found a bunch of like minded weirdos to hang out with. I was going a little nutty as a stay at home mom living in the country.
I read my kids the children's stories that get posted. They're very proud of the fact that they get to give feedback to real writers, and they get a huge kick out of all the funny avatars. They're convinced I'm friends with Kermit the Frog, Yoda, and a variety of cartoon characters.

Absolutely zilch.

Ya'll are just "people on the forum". He's no idea, what forum, just that we tend to write alot. And that suits me and him just fine;)

Sometimes I'll talk about someone here or from the various blogs I visit and use their real name and he'll ask, "Who?" Only after I say their internet handle does he know who I'm talking about.

My wife knows all about the sweet lady who used to work at the Maui Prince who says nice things about my books :) She also hears about Ray, Cray, Pat, Bruce, Roger, Kevin, Charlie, Trish, Nichola, a couple of Robs, a spicy Latino named Voyager who helped me with the cover of my book, and many others. Lately it's been about an ex-nun mystery writer named Callalily61 and a pastor named James, whose stories I'm beta reading. She also helps me pray for folks from the Prayer Request thread - particularly Mom'sWrite lately.

Mine is the same way. When he went to Belgium a few years ago, he was like "Did you have fun with Ray? I hope you guys saw some artsy movie."

Indeed, Ray and I saw Elizabethtown, a movie I never could have talked him in to.

And when I got my adorable baby gifts from you fine folks, he said "Awww, Jenna and Terri made you these? How sweet."

He knows who all you freaks are. :)

Um, well, let's just say I wouldn't dare let him read my rep comments or PMs.

i'm pretty sure i'd vehemently deny ever posting on a message board to anyone.

my wife will probably think that i'm looking at porn because i can guarantee ill be minimizing the window when she comes around.

if im still posting then.

(please God, no)

we'll see.

Since the strike started, my husband is more often than not sitting beside me at the desk. He knows Mel and he knows about everyone I talk to in PMs and IMs, Jess especially cuz we've known each other for years. He's also well aware that I have huge fangurly crushes on Davids and III. I don't see the point in not telling him everything, I mean, he sees me nekkid. If I'm embarrassed about something than I probably shouldn't be doing it in the first place.

My sweetie leaves around 6am and comes home around 8pm, exhausted. After the children and I have our Yay, Daddy's Home party and he's settled in, and I've asked how his day was and he mine, he usually says, "So what's up on the forums?"

Used to be, if it had been particuarly entertaining, I'd actually log in and show him rather than trying to relate it verbally. Then, I'd sometimes go off to make supper, and allow him to surf around and read at will. But no more!

Now he has his own user name. :)

My poor hubby probably knows more than he wants to. ;) He's finally accepted that you all are 'real' people.

I try not to get on at home..but if I do - I usually end up laughing out loud and that makes my daughter come running...poor thing - I usually can't tell her.

Hubby also shakes his head when we see a "Volvo" sign & knows why I giggle...and knows it's Haggis'('s) fault!

Sums up Mr. Turkey too. At first he kept telling me that people in forums are just a bunch of psycho dweebs who are probably not anything like their persona online. He used to roll his eyes if I even mentioned someone online. One day he even said... "You don't actually think these people are your friends do you?" Of course I gave him a dirty look and told him to go stuff himself.

But there has been a change of events recently. I IMed him the link to a thread I started about our child's upcoming surgery and he responded with.... "Wow, what a great group of people."
I think he is coming around. :)

I don't have a spouse  nor even a likely candidate for one  but I do tell the cats about AW. They like to look at LOLcatz and all smilies-which-move. Pitiful, I know, but FACT.

She's too busy with her teacher forums to care what I'm typing on a writer forum. Kind of a shame, actually, since she used to write poetry. But teaching is a black hole that sucks the life out of people. I know. I used to pretend I was one. Didn't write a damn thing.

In other news, my cat loves to watch NFL football games with me. She's awesome.

I have no spouse, live by myself. But I do tell my parents a bit about the conversations here. And when they visit my blog, they always point out how nice the posters are there (and seeing how most of the posters are you guys . . . ).

Some of my friends are also now well versed in the ways of some of the crazy spammers that pass through here occasionally (you know who I'm talking about - the ones who show up for a week or so, say lots of illogical things, and are wholly entertaining as well as frustrating as heck).
