Knew before logging in that I had rejections. Felt it in my bones. Found 2! There's ESP I don't need.

Just fire them off to the next publication on your list - and better luck next time.

Cheers,

Hi Jenny,

I'm sorry you had those rejections.

I hold pity parties quite often. Had one today. I didn't get total rejections, but partial rejections. An editor really gave it to me. Liked some of my stuff, not all of it. I read the critiques and said, "What?" I was thinking, "Nit picker!"

Whenever I get really down on myself, I find something good I've written (or had published) and read that. And I pat myself on the back for doing a good job.

Have faith in YOU.

Hi Jenny,

The BEST anecdote for a rejection is the
subscribed.gif
The 2005 Rejection Slip Collectors' Club thread in Humor Writing. The goal over there is to collectively recount 2500 or 5000 or something (I can't remember right now, but it's a bunch) rejection slips over there this year. You actually contribute to society, well at least to the thread, by racking up rejections!

BTW, congrats on your rejections!

Welcome, Jenny. Sorry to hear about your rejection but I hope to hear very soon about an acceptance!

I know the sting hurts but there's nothing like a pity party to get through it. This is the right place for one, too.

I feel your pain, Jenny. Honest, I do. I just got my novel rejected today and started a pity party for myself next door.
