God this is killing me. I've been looking forward to the weekend all week so I could get some writing done. And I've been going at it strong for about an hour and a half, but I'm just stuck on a word and my OCD won't let me keep writing unless I get it in the text.

It's not necessarily a humorous story, but it's campy and over the top.

Basically in the ol' west, one man captures an outlaw, and he yells for his friends to come out. They come out and are shocked as they look at the man and then take a glance at his Wanted poster ________ posted there. Word in the blank spot should be a synonym of "luckily" or....god, I just can't spit it out. Basically it's like the story telling the reader "Come on, what are the odds?"

And sorry if this is the wrong forum, I'm still new and couldn't really find a place to put it there.

Glad it worked out....and WELCOME TO AW!

Mel, please...Fox does not know of the Jesus thing...and besides, I'm always right. Right in front of you that is.

Perhaps the sentence should be changed around, re-organized?
If you're stuck, and for a good while, chances are it's your subconscience telling you 'this isn't going to work quite right'.
Play with the sentence, rewriting it.

Personally, I'd send a Private Message to JeanneTGC. She's a Western savant. SHE'LL know just the right catch-phrase. Don't be shy. Go on, ask her.

Basically it's like the story telling the reader "Come on, what are the odds?"

The word that jumps to mind for me there is "conveniently." "Coincidentally" might still be read as you trying to get away with something (though probably not if the whole story is campy and over the top, as you say). But "conveniently" makes it clear you know exactly what you're doing.

Maybe you're well past this by now; just wanted to add my word to the pile. :)
