The last sentence in my WIP:

She hesitated for a second, then ran up the steps, unlatched the gate and slipped inside the house.


But this is the sentence I last wrote:

"And we'll kill it."

"She's in the garden."

"Berries, whatever they were, sounded good."

They really had no choice; the Mother had seen to that.

Why would I even think such a thing, much less say it?

"Now I only eat vegetarian."

"But you can’t always explain what you observe."

This is funny. Read them all together as if they were part of a whole, they make a kinda weird sense.

It's still working. This is too funny and weird. So are we to learn from this that no matter what you do with words they will make an odd sorta sense? It is then our own minds that create sense and order? Or is it the thousand monkey idea?
