Cover Letters for the UK?

Are there any good websites or examples that anyone has of writing a cover letter for your manuscript?

I've gone to the bookstore and researched and I just can't find any examples of a cover letter when it comes to selling your novel. All I've ever found are cover letters for finding a job (outside of the author, writing, agent etc categories) and query examples for the US.

I've tried taking the job cover letters and writing my own letter but it sounds extremely formal and a little bland compared to the US query letter.

For some reason the page from your link isn't coming up for me. However, I looked down the page, and if you're talking about the query letter post, I've read it. I would just like some actual examples.
